Great news!
Masses are now open to the public but limited (we are allowed 30% capacity by the provincial requirements). To attend Mass, you will need to register beforehand at http://esscatholic.eventbrite.com to receive a ticket. Because seating at Mass is limited, you may not get your preferred Mass time. When registration for all Masses is full, we will open up the Masses for the following week for registration.
Please note that Bishop Fabbro has extended the dispensation from the Sunday Mass obligation until Advent. If you are unwell, elderly, or uncomfortable attending Mass at this time, we will continue to livestream each weekend so you can participate from home.
We will continue to have Adoration and Mass livestreamed in the mornings until Thursday, when daily Mass will be available to the public. There will be no need to register for daily Mass, just show up for 8am starting this Thursday, and we will explain the procedures.
Please observe social distancing.
**please note, the first Mass in Kingsville will be Sunday, June 28 @ 11 am (there are no more spaces available at this time) We have started having Daily Masses at St. Michael's Parish. No reservations for Daily Masses are necessary.

Reopening our Churches Safely
Since the first directive was issued on March 14 suspending weekend Masses, we have been waiting and praying for the pandemic to pass with as little loss of life as possible and for the chance to reopen our churches when it is safe and responsible to do so. With thanks to God, that day has arrived. The comprehensive guidelines on safely reopening churches in the Diocese of London have been posted on the diocesan website https://dol.ca/news/reopening-directives. The opening of churches is permitted for weekday Mass, private prayer, and individual Confessions effective yesterday, Wednesday, 17 June, and for Sunday Masses, effective Saturday/Sunday, 20-21 June. Parishes which cannot be ready by then may delay their opening to 27-28 June, or even 4-5 July. Churches will open on a gradual basis across the Diocese as pastors/administrators determine their readiness. A video illustrating the key changes in the directives to safely celebrate Mass will be posted tomorrow along with a celebratory message to the faithful from Bishop Fabbro.
Graduation Videos from Bishop Fabbro
Bishop Fabbro recorded congratulatory videos for students finishing secondary school and grade eight in the English and French Catholic school boards. You can find the videos on our YouTube channel.

Summer Camp Revamp
We are sad to announce that summer camps, as we have come to know them, will have to be canceled for this summer. This includes our Leadership Camps as well as our Reach programs scheduled in various places around the diocese. However, we are anticipating the hiring of a number of students this summer who will assist in creating and implementing a number of fun and creative initiatives for families, children, and teens that will be available to a larger number of parishes and individuals than we are normally able to serve. The job postings can be found at www.dol.ca/employmentvolunteering and we encourage applications from around the diocese.
Connecting with Young People and Families
As we continue to find new ways to reach out to young people and their families during this challenging time, we want to direct your attention to two Facebook links that may be of interest. The Diocese of London Youth Ministry Outreach page is a place where we are sharing what is going on in youth ministry in the Diocese, and each Tuesday and Friday afternoon there is a live video discussing ways in which parishes and staff are reaching out to our families and young people. The Diocese of London Social Media Chat group is for staff and volunteers who are responsible for, or assisting with, your parish's social media presence. You will find posts, pictures, and other good things that can be shared to your parish's social media sites.

Pope Francis on “Mission”
In May Pope Francis sent a message to the Pontifical Mission Societies. Within this message the Holy Father highlighted some of the features of mission and warns of the temptations that must be avoided as we become mission oriented. The full document can be found here.
