The Sacrament of Baptism initiates an individual into a community of believers and leads them to the Eucharistic table. Baptism preparation at our cluster parishes requires three months notice. Consider contacting the office before you have your baby to begin the preparations for your child’s baptism. The Sacrament of Baptism should happen without delay. Baptism happens on the last weekend of the month. They alternate between parishes and always happen within the context of the mass. Baptisms at St. Anthony’s take place at the 5p.m. mass on Saturday evening and Baptisms at St. John’s take place at the 11 a.m. mass on Sunday mornings. As baptismal dates are set, there are no private or alternate dates.
Families that are seeking baptism for their child are asked to participate in a period of preparation and catechesis. Please contact Dianne O'Neill at the parish office 519-733-6591 to register for the Sacrament of Baptism.
